Flurry on his 2nd birthday!

Out of Tansy by Taliesin

Both Flurry's sire and dam are taller Gypsy Vanners and we anticipate that Flurry
will be over 15hh at maturity. It will be really fun to watch him grow up!

Flurry is a really gentle soul. A thoughtful, intelligent lad. Neither brash nor pushy, he is enormous fun to work with.

Flurry is GLGVHC futurity nominated.

Our little Gypsy Vanner lad at 4 weeks old.

Click here for some video footage of Flurry after a snowstorm.
He is almost 11 months.

And Flurry at 13 months old. Rather higher behind than at the withers for the time being. But at least he has lost his winter woolies!

And finally...Flurry on his 2nd birthday. Play time!

In the sequence of pictures below, Flurry is 10 months old. The pictures are blurry because I had to capture them from video but I wanted to show that this boy is HOT TO TROT! It's been a long while since we've had such a thrilling mover on the farm...if anything, his canter is even better. I am so looking forward to the day that I can drive this boy!

How quickly they start to grow up.
Flurry at 13 months old. Unbalanced and gangly, entirely the teenager!

...but still hot to trot!

All the more so at 2 years old. Dressage anyone?!

Not so much dressage as "airs above the ground"!

Flurry's dam, Tansy is a very prepotent mare and her youngstock are in great demand. The pictures below are of two of her stallion sons.
The piebald is The Governor and the black blagdon is Bear (known as Flash when he was imported to the US from England). Whilst they are by different sires they are remarkably similar in quality, body type (and hair!)
We are very hopeful that Flurry will mature with similar quality to his two lovely brothers. His sire is also a super fellow, which furthers our hopes.
It's very early days yet, all we can do is wait with fingers and toes firmly crossed!

Bear, likely the most heavily feathered horse in the breed, certainly among those with the correct, straight hair!
